A 50 minute stretch class with the last 10 minutes of class being foam rolling. Foam rolling is a type of self‑myofascial release, using body weight on a roller to apply pressure to muscles and fascia to reduce tension and sensitivity. Research shows it can increase joint range of motion without hurting strength or power when used before exercise. When used after exercise, it helps muscles recover faster and feel less sore over the next 24–72 hours.
Props are provided in this class and you must be a Mountainside Fitness Member or Guest. All classes are enjoyed with a custom playlist with a lot of mellow classic rock influence to help keep you engaged and energized for your stretch. This class is done in the Serenity room at the Frank Lloyd Wright location.
